Policies
Shipping
Orders placed before 3pm Pacific Time are usually processed and shipped
the same day. Our standard shipping method is via UPS or FedEx Ground.
We can use faster shipping methods, but keep in mind that an item like
a cash drawer is very heavy (25 to 31 pounds), and expedited shipping
can be expensive. UPS Ground service usually takes 3 to 7 days,
depending on your distance from our warehouse.
Warranty
The manufacturer’s warranty applies to products sold by Point of Sale
Max. The manufacturer usually handles warranties. Warranties vary by
manufacturer. For further details call our Customer Service Department.
Returns
Software
All software sales are final. We will replace software media if the disks are defective and will not install properly.
Dell Computers
If you order a Dell computer from us, the sale is final once the
computer is in transit to your delivery address. This is because we
register you as the legal owner with Dell. At that point, Dell is
solely responsible for any repairs or replacement under the terms of
their warranty.
Other Non-defective Product Returns
No returns for refund or credit are permitted after 30 days. It is your
responsibility to make sure any hardware you order is compatible with
the software you use. All non-defective returns will be charged a
minimum 20% restocking fee, in order to cover our original shipping and
handling. Merchandise returned in open boxes will be charged a
restocking fee based on condition. Please return all products complete
with boxes, manuals, warranty cards, cables and anti-static packaging.
All manuals, warranty cards, etc., must not be written on. We will
charge for all items that are missing or damaged. We highly recommend
double boxing all returns to avoid damage to the manufacturer’s box.
Write the RMA number on the outer box. Do not write on the product box.
DOA
If your product is DOA (Dead On Arrival), out of box failure, or fails
during the manufacturer’s DOA period, our Customer Service Department
will arrange for replacement within the guidelines of the
manufacturer’s warranty and DOA policy.
Returning Defective Products
All products returned must have a valid Return Material Authorization
(RMA) number. To receive an RMA number contact our Customer Service
Department. RMA numbers are good for 14 days. Please return all
products complete with boxes, manuals, warranty cards, cables and
anti-static packaging. All manuals, warranty cards, etc., must not be
written on. We will charge for all items that are missing or damaged.
We highly recommend double boxing all returns to avoid damage to the
manufacturer’s box. Write the RMA number on the outer box. Do not write
on the product box. Our receiving department will refuse any product
received without a valid RMA number. Returns must be shipped freight
and insurance pre-paid. Unless specifically instructed otherwise, all
returns must be sent to our main office.
Include a copy of the invoice for each item returned. This is often
required by manufacturers to support your warranty claim. We may charge
a $10 fee per invoice if we have to search our files for invoice copies
to support your warranty claim.
Limits of Liability
Point of Sale Max disclaims all liability for, and customer
specifically waives all rights to, any special, incidental or
consequential damages, including any damages to property or any damages
resulting from loss of data, profit or goodwill, which customers might
suffer directly or indirectly as a result of any breach of any
warranty, representation or covenant by Pointofsale.com, the
manufacturer, or Point of Sale Max suppliers. Point of Sale Max is not
responsible for the integrity of data on storage devices (hard disk

incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or
product information received from our suppliers, Point of Sale Max
shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product
listed at the incorrect price. Point of Sale Max shall have the right
to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been
confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already
been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Point of Sale
Max shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the
amount of the charge.
